bio blurb

A short bio done for the website of an interior designer possessed of great vision and professionalism, but utterly flummoxed when it came to describing herself (and yes, I invented the quote out of whole cloth):

Alison Gramenos is interested in the alchemy that turns a house into a home. “Houses are tangible -- they’re concrete and steel, lumber, pipe and wire,” she notes. “But homes are more dynamic. A home is what happens when life is applied to space; homes reflect our lives, and with good design, they enhance them.”

A native of Chicago and graduate of UNLV’s Interior Architecture program, Alison’s take on lives and spaces has proven an excellent match for distinctive builders and visionary homeowners throughout the West. Blending fine materials, creating utilitarian spaces with unequivocal flair, Alison’s elements of style never go out of style.
