A bit of lyrical fluff, offered as an example to a landscape architect that was considering a marketing program (they wound up picking up my retainer for seven months last year):

Some might argue that there is no magic in this business, that it's a synthesis of men and machines, of effort and organics applied in the proper ratios.

We would respectfully disagree.

At Landaco we bring an entirely different ethic to this alchemy that is landscape architecture. Before the first spade of soil is turned, before roots are placed in the bosom of the earth, before contracts are awarded and plans drawn, before men toil and before a house somehow becomes a home, first there must be inspiration.

Such magic is too rarely reckoned -- for us, it's the only way we know.
